Вокруг пляжа много камней и можно было понырять с маской, посмотреть рыбок, но еще утром почувствовал себя плохо, подскочила температура, начало лихорадить. Измерил температуру: 38. Оказалось, что подхватил проклятый коронавирус, этот бич человечества. И весь день рождения папы провел в постели (забегая вперед, все закончилось хорошо. Как писал классик: - привезли его домой, оказался он живой)На закате ходили фотографироваться. Традиционное фото в Jervis Bay, семейство Тыщенко на фоне залива в лучах уходящего солнца.

Наверное, Самый Белый Песок в Мире!Каждый раз на пути в Jervis Bay мы смеемся над этой рекламной фразой из туристического буклета. Но вот готов поклясться, что он и в самом деле просто ослепительно белый, нигде такого не видел. А еще он поет - если быстро провести по нему ногами, он свистит, чем очень развлекает отдыхающих. День рождения на берегу залива Jervis Bay. Арендовали дом в небольшой деревушке Hyams Beach, рядом с одноименным пляжем. Дом совсем близко от воды, минутах в пяти-десяти ходьбы. Что понравилось, это большой классный deck - балкон, на котором, кстати, и происходили все основные события, как то: распитие напитков в больших количествах, приготовление BBQ, стрельба их хлопушек, распевание веселых "день-рожденьевских" песен. А песен было много — пятьдесят лет имениннику исполнилось!

Девченки ездили на Cave Beach, на который можно пройти только через пещеру. Как в приключенческих фильмах про сокровища и пиратов. Ничего особенного, но для детей веселье!

Windang Beach is located at the entrance to Lake Illawarra, 15 kilometres south of Wollongong's city centre. It offers spectacular views of the famous Five Islands off the Wollongong coastline. The beach is very popular with families and there is accommodation nearby at the local caravan park, which has views of the lake and the ocean. Lake Illawarra is located between the Illawarra escarpment and the Pacific Ocean on the NSW South Coast some 90 kilometres south of Sydney. Water flowing into it is both fresh (from the escarpment) and salty (from ocean tides). The Lake is approximately 9.5 kilometres long and 5.5 kilometres wide, with an area of 33 square kilometres and a maximum depth of 3.7 metres. 13 boat ramps surround the lake and is a popular recreational location. The lake is a popular spot for fishing, prawning, and all water sports. There is a boat and catamaran hire close by as well as several caravan parks. There is also a shared pathway that can be enjoyed by all. Wollongong Harbour's Breakwater lighthouse has been inactive since 1974 (a decorative light is displayed on special occasions). It stands 12 metres (40 feet) high and has a tapered round wrought iron tower with lantern, painted white. Ideal for families, North Wollongong Beach has rock pools, wading areas, and good surf. There is plenty of grass, shade, and picnic booths. A children's playground is close by, and shops, cafes and amenities are provided. North Wollongong Beach is the only beach that's patrolled all year round making it the perfect place for a barbecue with full facilities provided. It is conveniently located along the shared cycle way. North Wollongong Beach hosts the NSW leg of the Beach Netball Festival and a round of the Ocean Six Series in annually and its the perfect spot to watch the New Year's Eve Fireworks. This Beach is not a dog friendly beach, however simply cross the lagoon to the north to find the off lead dog area. In 1968 the search for a suitable site revealed a quiet valley, 229 to 274 metres above sea level at Mt. Pleasant under the north eastern summit of Mt. Keira. This land was owned by Australian Iron and Steel and then General Manager Mr A.A Parrish backed the scheme and a (peppercorn) lease over six hectares (14 acres) was granted to a Society set up to develop and manage the gardens. The Illawarra Rhododendron Gardens are located at Mt. Pleasant under the north eastern summit of Mt Keira and cover an area of 13 hectares. It's the perfect place for a picnic lunch or even a wedding. The garden contains thousands of azaleas and hundreds of rhododendrons in company with many rare companion plants including camellias. Corrimal Beach is 1.4 kilometres long and backed by fenced sand dunes, grassy reserves and Corrimal Beach Tourist Park. Holiday makers and local's alike enjoy this beach as it is long and private. A small lagoon proves popular with children for shallow paddling. Corrimal is located six kilometres north of Wollongong's central business district. Corrimal Beach is only patrolled from the commencement of the NSW school holidays in September to the end of the NSW April school holidays. North Wollongong Beach is the only beach in the area that is patrolled all year round. East Corrimal Beach, located to the north, is an off lead dog friendly beach. Thirroul Beach is one kilometre in length and faces east, so it picks up swell from most directions. There's little wind protection at either end, although big southerly swells or southerly winds get slowed up somewhat by the Sandon Point headland. Thirroul Beach is patrolled September to April and there is a saltwater pool that's great for a swim. Thirroul Beach is a timeshare dog zone. Time-sharing zone allows access on the beach on leash at certain times dependant on the season. Wombarra Beach is a narrow 250 m beach fronting the slopes that lead up to the small town of the same name. The sand and cobble beach is located immediately south of the southern Scarborough rocks, with rocks and boulders backing the beach. It is fronted by rock platforms, leaving only a narrow break to provide direct access to the sea. Coalcliff is located 24 kilometres north of the Wollongong city centre. This is a small beach in the northern suburbs, surrounded by rocks and cliffs. It is also a popular fishing spot. There is a saltwater rock pool at the southern end of the beach. Explore the rocks for ocean life from this quite secluded beach. This beach is only patrolled from the commencement of the NSW school holidays in September until the end of April school holidays. Coalcliff beach is an on-lead dog-friendly beach during certain times. The original Cathedral for the Archdiocese of Canberra Goulburn is now referred to as Saints Peter and Paul's Old Cathedral. Recognised by the National Trust of Australia the former Cathedral and Bishop's House are significant items of the city's cultural and architectural heritage. Several types of stone were used in the Cathedral's construction. The most significant of these was diorite porphyrite, a very hard green stone from a quarry on the Bungonia Road. Walk among the roses in the magnificent Victoria Park rose garden in Goulburn. The garden includes some 1,500 roses of 100 varieties. All the roses are named for easy identification. The 'World's Biggest Merino' is a three storey structure of concrete and steel measuring 15.2 metres high and 18 metres long. This monument was built in 1985 as a celebration to Goulburn and surrounding district's fine wool industry is an impressive life-like model of 'Rambo', a stud ram from a the local property 'Bullamallita'. This unique 'big' attraction is located just off Goulburn's southern exit and stands proud as a symbol of Goulburn - 'the Fine Wool Capital of the World'. The Big Merino houses an exhibition on the 200 year history of wool in Australia. The gift shop displays an extensive range of light weight wool garments as well as a great selection of pure merino and luxurious possum merino knitwear, knitting yarn and Australian made sheepskins. Captain Cook first spotted the area now known as Bare Island in 1770, and referred to it in his journal as 'a small bare island'. The fort was built in the early 1880s to protect Sydney’s back door. Offering visitors to Sydney an opportunity to join in and do what the locals do - the Bondi to Coogee Walk is a popular coastal walk offering beautiful coastline vistas, cosy beaches and cafe strips for refuelling. Bronte is just over a kilometer’s walk south of Bondi.
